If you wish to prepare your own artwork, we offer a service that will enable you to get the best results out of your printing. It provides a technical "safety net", so you can relax and feel confident that your artwork will deliver the results you are expecting.
Preparing artwork for print is a specialist skill, and in our experience, documents which appear print-ready to a non-professional still have much work to be done. With our debug, polish and print service, you send all your working files to Classic Yearbooks. We will check your files to make sure everything is technically correct.
We will also make your images print-ready and adjust those that are overly light, dark or oddly coloured. It will make your work the best it can be, and prevent surprises in the production of your yearbook.
We won’t alter the design or the content. The kinds of things we check include:
- Bleeds
- Margins
- Covers
- Spine
- Colours
- Binding allowances
- Making all images print ready and adjust any that are too dark or light
- Exporting high quality PDF using special printer’s settings
When we have corrected the document we will send you proofs for a final check before your yearbook goes to prepress.
You will have confidence that the enormous amount of work you have put into the preparation and design of your yearbook will be reflected in a publication that makes you proud. And since your yearbook is also a historical document, it is nice to know that it will last as it should.
If you give us the opportunity of sending you a proposal, we shall send you a welcome pack with some information about Classic Yearbooks, a brief questionnaire to provide us the necessary information, and a postpaid satchel to return the questionnaire and a copy of your last yearbook. With this information we will prepare you a comprehensive proposal with full upfront costings and a project timeline.
